
The Chicago Police Department has issued an alert for a missing teenager, 16-year-old Jasiim Montoya. According to details provided by the CPD, Montoya was last seen on January 13 near the 5800 block of South Michigan Avenue. The police have turned to the public for assistance in locating the young male, who was last spotted wearing a black jacket with fur around the hood, a gray and purple hooded sweatshirt, and black pants. It is believed that he might be carrying a backpack.
Standing at 5 feet 4 inches and weighing about 150 pounds, Montoya is a black male with brown eyes, black hair, and a complexion of medium hue, as described in a public notice published by law enforcement.
The Chicago Police Department's Special Victims Unit is leading the search efforts and has called upon anyone with information to step forward. The authorities have urged that sightings or information regarding Montoya's whereabouts be reported immediately to Area 1 S.V.U at (312) 747-8380 or, in urgent circumstances, by calling 911.
