A 52-year-old woman was struck by a car at approximately 4:30 pm near the 6900 block of S. Western Ave, resulting in severe injuries, according to a community alert issued by the CPD.
Authorities have detailed the vehicle in question as a blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo distinguished by two white racing stripes running down the center. Reports suggest that this sedan may have had an Indiana Temporary Registration License plate affixed to the rear at the time of the accident. The CPD is calling upon anyone with information to step forward and help in locating the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.
The CPD has not yet released the identity of the victim but confirms the injuries sustained are severe.
