A 17-year-old male has been charged with a felony count of armed robbery, according to Chicago police. The juvenile was apprehended on January 23, 2024, by members of the Chicago Police Department and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. The arrest took place in the 7000 block of S. Washtenaw.
Identified as the suspect in a November 2023 armed robbery incident, the teen is accused of robbing a 47-year-old male food delivery driver at gunpoint. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of W. 63rd St. in Chicago's 7th District. While targeting the unsuspecting driver, armed with a firearm, police say the young man committed the felony offense.
