
The Chicago Police Department has officially charged Cesar Garcia, an 18-year-old resident of Chicago's 1600 block of W. 38th Place, with two felony counts of first-degree attempted murder, as confirmed by a news release on the department's website. The charges come after Garcia was identified as the suspect in a shooting on October 1, 2023, which resulted in serious injuries to a pair of young adults in the 3600 block of S. Archer Ave.
According to the Chicago Police Department's announcement, the incident occurred at approximately 10:44 p.m., leaving a 22-year-old male and a 19-year-old female gravely wounded, after Garcia's apprehension on January 16, 2024, in the 1100 block of S.
