Two teens have been brought to task by Chicago law enforcement, linked to a chilling armed robbery that targeted a young woman. The minors, aged 16 and 15, found themselves handcuffed on charges including armed robbery and vehicle-related felonies.
Not half an hour after they allegedly chose to brazenly relieve a 26-year-old female of her personal belongings at gunpoint, the police managed to swiftly locate and detain the suspects.
The 16-year-old is charged with a count of robbery armed with a firearm and a felony concerning a stolen vehicle. His alleged accomplice, one year his junior, is similarly charged with armed robbery but also faces a misdemeanor tied to unlawful entry and control of a vehicle, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The officers closed in on the suspects in the 1600 block of W. Monroe St. The two were allegedly found with the filched possessions and a stolen vehicle.
Details on the case remain scarce with no further information being released post-arrest.
