According to the release, Pacifica police and North County Fire Authority responded to the scene around 9:20 PM where they discovered the aftermath of the multi-vehicle accident, which left a passenger from the Toyota injured and hospitalized; Almaznai also received medical attention for minor injuries before facing his charges and the intricate process of the law took its inevitably meticulous course. Authorities subsequently determined, through rigorous investigation, that Almaznai was intoxicated at the time of the mishap earning him a booking at the San Mateo County Jail on counts of Felony DUI Causing Injury.
