The Colma Police Department is on the hunt for two suspects following a bold daylight theft in the town renowned as the city of the silent. According to a post on the department's Facebook page, a male and female duo made off with more than $1,000 in merchandise from a local business.
The heist, which unfolded on January 18th, saw the suspects fleeing the scene in a dark blue Volkswagen after raiding a store on the 100 block of Colma Boulevard around lunchtime. The Facebook announcement provided descriptions of the alleged thieves: a black male in his early to mid-20s dressed in a black puffy jacket, black jeans, and shoes, and a black female of a similar age sporting a pink sweater and khaki pants.
The incident has triggered an ongoing investigation by the authorities, as the law enforcement community reaches out to the public for assistance. "The Colma Officers were dispatched... on a report of a theft," described the Facebook post, detailing the swift actions of the police following the incident.
Although the suspects remain at large, the Colma Police Department remains committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice and has called upon the public to aid in the apprehension.
