Dallas residents are bracing for a spell of severe weather conditions, with forecasters expecting a cocktail of freezing temperatures, icy rain, and thunderstorms from this weekend into the next week. Weather forecast include the possibility of freezing rain creating slick spots, particularly on bridges and overpasses, as early as Sunday night into Monday morning.
As the new week begins to unroll, the weather disturbances continue to pose a challenge with the "chance of precipitation is 100%" for showers and potential thunderstorms on Monday, as per the Dallas Weather Forecast. These conditions are expected to persist with the "40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms" looming over Tuesday, especially after noon. Residents should expect mostly cloudy skies and temperatures hovering near 61 degrees during this time.
Heading into midweek, the skies over Dallas will likely remain troubled with a "50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms," according to Wednesday's outlook. The fluctuating temperatures and ongoing precipitation exacerbate the potential for hazardous conditions, continuing into Thursday with partly sunny skies and by Friday, the city might see a break from rainfall and enjoy partly sunny skies again with a high near 58, according to the National Weather Service.
