In a violent twist to the evening of January 28, Dallas Police were called to the scene of a shooting on the 3200 block of Maryland Avenue. The call, which came in around 6:30 p.m., led to the discovery of 36-year-old David Johnson, who was shot by a still-unidentified assailant, as reported by the Dallas Police Department.
The suspects, having fled the scene, left Johnson critically injured. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital, and in a severe turn of events, succumbed to his injuries, dying shortly after his arrival. The case, now a homicide investigation, is being tackled by the Dallas Police Department, and Detective David Grubbs has taken the helm, case number 015320-2024 is under review.
