A routine home delivery in Fort Worth turned lethal after a delivery man was found dead and another individual was attacked on Saturday.
Responding to a call on the 3900 block of Wendover Drive, police discovered the delivery man with fatal injuries to his head and upper body, NBC DFW reported. A suspect, identified as 27-year-old Chrisantus Omondi, was apprehended on the scene, the homeowner having witnessed the assault was also harmed during the event and has been released from the hospital after receiving treatment.
Further details provided by the Fort Worth Police indicated that the homicide occurred while the victim was on a delivery when suddenly assaulted by Omondi, WFAA reported. Following the confrontation with officers, the suspect also required hospitalization post being tased.
While the investigation is still ongoing, the precise motive of the attack remains a subject for inquiry, police are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding this unexpected and violent incident which has ended in the tragic loss of one individual's life and the harrowing experience of another.
