
A driver has been nabbed for steering his vehicle into imminent peril, tearing through the SR-202 in a hazardous wrong-way sprint near downtown Phoenix. According to an early morning report from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident which occurred near the 24th Street exit, ended with the arrest of this misguided motorist around 3:30 a.m.
In a separate and more tragic roadway violation, Phoenix authorities are on the hunt for a hit-and-run culprit linked to a deadly crash. A 23-year-old woman named Summer Olheiser was discovered, incapacitated and clinging to life on the pavement near 27th Avenue, and Osborn Road. Despite the efforts of first responders, the young woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene. AZFamily.com reported the incident took place on Monday morning around 6 a.m.
