In a tragic development out of El Cajon, authorities responded to a chilling scene where two individuals suffered fatal gunshot wounds in an apparent domestic incident. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the call came through around midday on January 6, shaking the quiet of the 1600 block of Hilton Head Court.
Upon their rapid arrival, deputies discovered two victims, identified as 41-year-old Jose Benjamin Lopez Valle and his 38-year-old wife, Brenda Valle. Despite their immediate efforts to provide medical aid, the situation was dire. A firearm was found close to the couple, and it seemed that Jose's wound was self-inflicted, as per the initial investigation by the authorities.
The couple leaves behind three children, now without parents, and deemed unharmed during the distressing event. The minors, aged between 11 and 18, are now in protective care.
