It's a celebration in the Lone Star State as two Texans from El Paso and Kerrville strike it rich by finally claiming their respective $1 million lottery prizes, months after the official drawings. According to My San Antonio, one of the winners, hailing from El Paso, snagged a cool million from the Mega Millions after purchasing a ticket for the August 8, 2023, drawing at an In and Out Gas Station. In Kerrville, another resident scored big with a Powerball ticket from an October 7, 2023, drawing, bought at Bottle N Bag in Uvalde.
The winners had picked all five correct numbers on their Quick Pick tickets, though neither hit the game's grand prize by matching the final Mega Ball or Powerball number. The Kerrville winner's success came from matching numbers 47, 54, 57, 60, and 65, as reported by KENS 5, whilst the El Paso victor's winning combination excluded a Mega Ball match.
The lucky El Pasoan's ticket outpost, located at 10197 Alameda Ave., is a familiar stop in the small border town of Socorro. Similarly, the fortunate Kerrville local frequented Bottle N Bag, situated at 1718 Milam St., for their winning purchase. Luck, it seems, knows no bounds, gracing corner stores from the expansive West to the rolling hills of Central Texas.
