Grab your winter gear and get ready to stomp through the snow because Cleary Lake Regional Park is hosting an evening of snowshoeing under the new moon. Scheduled for Saturday, February 10, this event promises to offer a unique way to experience the winter landscape – all while getting a pretty decent workout.
From 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, adventurers who are 16 years and older can join the trek through snowy fields and marshlands. In the peaceful darkness of an unlit night sky—a detail that ensures stargazers will get their fix—the group will be on the lookout for famous constellations, which are bound to be clearer without the moon's glow to compete with, according to Scott County, Minnesota.
All the necessary snowshoe equipment is provided by the park, making it an easy outing for beginners and seasoned snowshoers alike. The cost to participate is a mere $6, but don't drag your feet making a decision. Reservations are required and need to be made no later than two days before the event. Those interested can secure their spot by calling the park at 763-559-6700, as stated in theScott County, Minnesota.
