A fierce inferno reduced a mobile home to ashes early Tuesday morning in Palm Beach County, leaving a family, including a child, without a roof over their heads. WPTV reported that the fire erupted in Casa Del Monte Mobile Home Park, located just north of Forest Hill Boulevard and east of Jog Road.
The blaze, which was battled by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews, was spotted at a double-wide trailer around 6 a.m. Tuesday. In the fire destroyed home, nobody was present, and firefighters, attacking the fire from various angles, managed to contain the situation by 7 a.m. "That is someone's hopes and dreams going up in flames here," WPTV aerial reporter Johann Hoffend was quoted saying.
Images captured at the scene show nothing but the skeletal remains of what once was a family home. According to CBS12, the burnt structure's walls were completely consumed by the flames, leaving behind only charred support beams and a layer of ashes.
In the wake of the disaster, the American Red Cross has stepped in, offering a hand in providing emergency financial aid, along with health and psychological services. Emphasizing the depth of their support, the Red Cross is delivering one-on-one assistance to help the affected individuals find their way to recovery, "to meet their disaster-caused needs."
No injuries have been reported from the incident, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The community is urged to support through donations as the Red Cross continues to lend support to the devastated family.
