The incident, which occurred at approximately 3 PM on January 3rd, led to traffic disruption when the belligerent individual stood determinedly in front of the bus, blocking its path and the orderly flow of traffic. According to the MBTA Transit Police's post on X, officers removed the man from the bus and attempted to de-escalate the situation. However, the standoff continued when he refused to step away from the vehicle.
1/3 3PM Temple Plc. A 30y/o male refused to pay bus fare, became threatening towards operator & disorderly. TPD Offs removed SP from bus & tried to de-escalate. The SP stood in front of bus preventing movement/flow of traffic. TPD placed SP into custody. He also had a warrant.
