A grim scene unfolded at a Lawrence McDonald's in Essex County, Massachusetts, last Tuesday when a squabble turned deadly, leaving one man fatally stabbed, according to local authorities. The Essex County District Attorney's Office reported that police rushed to the Broadway location around 5 p.m. after getting wind of an altercation in progress.
The unidentified male victim was discovered with a stab injury and was promptly taken to hospital. Despite the swift medical attention, he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead. The man's identity is being withheld until his kin are duly notified, leaving a community to grapple with an unsolved act of violence, as reported by NBC Boston.
In the aftermath, the fast-food establishment, located strategically at the intersection of Broadway with Essex and Common Streets, became a focal point for crime scene investigators, as per NBC Boston.
The yellow tape and forensics paraphernalia marked an evening of macabre disruption, and by night, a sign hung at the door stating, "We are temporarily closed. Sorry for the inconvenience," stated WCVB.
