A gas leak in the vicinity of Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center has prompted Fort Worth ISD to call off classes for the elementary school on Friday, citing concerns over the potential lack of water and heating on campus. In a situation where safety trumps all, the district took caution, shutting down academic operations for the day.
Officials from the school district were alerted to the gas leak on Thursday.
