Four suspects have been fingered by authorities in connection with the previously unsolved murder of 23-year-old Diamonte Odom in Fall River, Massachusetts. The late-night shooting, which left the community rattled, occurred on May 13, 2023. As per announcements from the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, a long-term grand jury investigation has resulted in the indictment of these four men, one of whom still eludes capture.

On the fateful night, Fall River police received multiple 911 calls about shots fired in the area of 275 County Street around 10:44 p.m., according to a report by ABC6. Responders found Odom with a gunshot wound to his face. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Among the indicted is Tajon Saxon, aged 26, who is still at large and is also wanted in connection with a 2021 double homicide in the same city.

“Due to the fact that the two defendants indicted for murder have yet to be arraigned in open court, no further details about the investigation can be publicly disseminated at this time,” said Bristol district attorney spokesperson Gregg Miliote in a statement obtained by MassLive. Besides Saxon, the indicted include Quanif Johnson, 26, facing murder charges among others; Dioni Tavarez-Leonirio, 25, charged with accessory to murder after the fact; and Devin Alves, 18, who is up against drug trafficking charges.

Currently, Johnson is in custody in Rhode Island on charges connected to another homicide, with no clear timeline for his arraignment in Massachusetts. Meanwhile, Tavarez-Leonirio has already been prosecuted and his bail was set at $5,000. Youngster Alves saw his arraignment today and is held on $7,500 bail. The authorities are on an intensive manhunt for Saxon and have called on the public to provide any information by calling (855) MA-SOLVE (855-627-6583), or using various confidential tip lines.

The district attorney's office urges anyone with information about Mr. Saxon's whereabouts to come forward.
