Edwards, the Bulldog's lead rusher this season with 880 yards, and Milton, who dashed through defenses for two touchdowns in the recent Orange Bowl massacre of Florida State, are ready to take their collegiate success to the next level.
According to Atlanta News First, Milton, standing tall at 6-1 and tipping scales at 220 pounds, closed out his senior year with a bang, stringing together three straight two-touchdown games, culminating in a career-best 156 rushing yards against Georgia Tech. His decision to join the draft was conveyed with nostalgia over his time in Georgia, "This has without a doubt been the best 4 years of my life... I have developed relationships that will last the rest of my life."
Not to be outdone, Edwards made his draft declaration shortly after Milton, as reported by Fox Sports. In his statement, Edwards reflected on his time with the Bulldogs as "a blessing" and now, alongside Milton, is poised to bring his field-prowess to football's grandest stage. Milton, a Fresno native, tossed a heartfelt shout-out to the Georgia coaches in his social media post for "taking a chance on the kid from Fresno." Tight end Brock Bowers, another potential draft favorite from Georgia, has yet to reveal his plans, leaving fans and analysts to their speculation.
