A suspicious person report in north Harris County led to the arrest of a wanted man last Friday. Deputies responded to a call in the 19800 block of Kuykendahl Road, after receiving reports of an individual loitering on the grounds of a shuttered establishment.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers encountered Devin Smith, who was in the process of trespassing on the non-operational business's property. Their inquiry unraveled that Smith had more trouble than just his recent intrusion.
An examination of Smith's background revealed an outstanding warrant for his arrest due to a prior assault charge. As a result, the Harris County deputies took the warranted individual into custody without incident.
Following his arrest, Constable Mark Herman disclosed, "Devin Smith was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for his arrest warrant. His bond was set at $1,000.00 out of County Court 14." in a statement obtained by the Constable's social media post.
