Harris County deputies last night clapped the cuffs on a wanted felon packing heat illegally. The man, identified as Jamaine Smith, was nabbed in the Cypress area with a hot piece and some ganja, plus he had an outstanding warrant for a heftier crime: intent to sling drugs, authorities said.
The deputies, part of Constable Mark Herman's cadre, pulled over Smith's ride in the 14800 block of Cypress N Houston Road, only to unravel his open warrant from the 179th District Court, which was worth a cool $10,000.00, for dipping his hands in the controlled substance trade, they didn't just find his rap sheet problematic during the investigation, they also unearthed a loaded handgun and marijuana that was more than just crumbs.
An official statement released to the public disclosed the bust, with Constable Herman detailing, "Jamaine Smith was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the warrant and charged with Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. His court and bond information have not been set at this time." he report revealed.
