On January 24, a routine shoplifting call at a Home Depot in Harris County unfolded into a more significant arrest when deputies apprehended a woman with multiple open warrants. Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the call at the home improvement store located in the 20200 block of the North Freeway, where the deputies located the suspect, who was later identified as Crystal Miller.
According to a post on Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page, after deputies arrived they discovered that Miller's legal troubles ran deeper than just the alleged shoplifting incident, Miller had been sought on numerous warrants from different counties, which complicate the legal predicament she found herself in.
Miller was promptly arrested and escorted to the Harris County Jail, where she was booked for her outstanding warrants, "Crystal Miller was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants," the Constable stated on Facebook. Details regarding her bond and upcoming court appearances have not been made public as of the time of reporting.
The nature and number of the warrants, as well as the items allegedly shoplifted, have not been disclosed.
