A Harris County district court judge found himself on the wrong side of the bench this Sunday after being nabbed in Galveston on a family violence charge. Frank Aguilar, who has served on the bench of the 228th District Court since 2019, was arrested in the early hours and faces charges of assault causing bodily injury in a family violence case, according to Click2Houston.
The 66-year-old judge, Aguilar, got cuffed in the 9600 block of Teichman Road following the incident and, after cooling his heels behind bars, he posted a $1,500 bond to secure his release, this information was gleaned from reports by FOX 26 Houston, although the finer details surrounding the allegations against Aguilar remain sparse he did indeed post bond and get released.
The exact circumstances that led to Aguilar's charge are currently shrouded, as authorities and Galveston County officials have yet to release finer details or a statement regarding the events that unfolded on Teichman Road, where Aguilar was taken into custody, up until now, the public waits with bated breath as the case against a man who once delivered justice is now poised to receive it.
