Hopscotch, San Antonio's interactive art hot spot, has just introduced five spanking new installations for the public's eye — and participation. The downtown gallery, nestled conveniently across from Travis Park, welcomed an invite-only crowd yesterday to preview the additions, with four on the lower level, and one, the captivating "Quantum Trampoline," perched upstairs. After visitors shake off their shoes and hop on the well-cushioned trampoline, they're plunged into an immersive experience of New Age tunes and reactive abstract visuals, reported by Express News.

Stretching the legs after two weeks of closure for renovations, Hopscotch flung its doors wide open on Wednesday, unfurling a fleet of tech-savvy art blendings. The freshly minted exhibits include the visually rich "Onion Skin" by Olivier Ratsi, "RGB" which paints an evolving narrative with every layer by Carnovsky, and the light and sound emporium "Unknown Atmospheres" by Parallel Studio with soundscapes by Seth Nehil that literally immerses folks between a grid of 11,000 lights. A local artistic flavor is added with Albert Gonzales' "Wabi Sabi" series, beside the crowd-pleasing ball pit. These details, by the by, come straight from the horse's mouth at Axios.

"Our goal at Hopscotch is to provide an avenue for visitors to connect with artists and celebrate through play," Nicole Jensen, the co-founder of Hopscotch, told Axios in a statement. Each piece is a testament to the fusion of contemporary art with the cutting-edge mechanics of technology. And in case the artwork wasn't intoxicating enough, there's a bar featured on the premises so the guests can meander through the creative spaces, drink in hand—cocktail or mocktail, that's your call.

Among the long-time faves still on tap is the thought-provoking "Secrets" by Wide Awake Creative, asking visitors to listen and spill anonymous secrets, and Gary Sweeney's optical illusion playground "Perspective." Then there's "Gaze," a mirror maze with uplifting inclusivity mantras and the serene "Rainbow Cave," fashioned out of 40,000 repurposed plastic bags. Yet it's the "Quantum Trampoline" that sends folks bouncing out with a feel-good adrenaline rush, offering a visually and physically dynamic swan song for the Hopscotch experience, as was fondly detailed by Express News.
