A shoplifting suspect has been nabbed by Constable Mark Herman's deputies at a Best Buy in Houston, authorities say. Officials were quick to act on January 25th when they were alerted to a female, later identified as Julian Baca, accused of discreetly pocketing merchandise before attempting to slip quietly away from the 19200 block West Lake Houston store. Baca was accused of having concealed items worth over $197, according to deputies at the scene.

Security protocols to immediately stop kicked into action at the electronics giant when the suspect reportedly bypassed all registers without making a purchase. It wasn't long before deputies with the constable's office tailed Baca, leading to his prompt apprehension. The goods were returned intact to Best Buy.

In a statement released on the precinct's Facebook page, Constable Mark Herman announced Baca's arrest, "Julian Baca was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 10."
