Tragedy struck early Wednesday morning in Houston as one man met a fatal end and another was seriously wounded in a shooting incident that unfolded on Valley Club Drive. The Houston Police Department is piecing together the harrowing event that left a 40-year-old man dead and a 41-year-old man injured, according to a statement they released.
The call that came in shortly after 1 a.m. led HPD officers to a grim scene at 9923 Valley Club Drive, where the first victim was found unresponsive and subsequently pronounced deceased by paramedics.
Details surrounding the incident remain sketchy, but early reports suggest that the two victims were in the company of the alleged shooter before the fatal confrontation. The suspect, a 36-year-old male believed to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance at the time of the shooting, could barely stand on his own and was transported to a hospital for immediate treatment.
