In a notable stride towards combating vehicle theft, Hyundai has teamed up with law enforcement to launch an innovative anti-theft mobile clinic in Antelope Valley, announced today. The automotive giant has collaborated with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Task Force for Regional Auto Theft Prevention, better known as TRAP, to deliver this service to Hyundai car owners, as reported by the company.
The event saw the backing of leaders including Captain Martin Rodriguez of LASD TRAP, Captain Paul Bartlett of Lancaster Sheriff's Station, Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris, Chief Rod Armalin of Lancaster Police Department, and Hyundai Motor America's own David VandeLinde, Vice President of Campaign Completion and Safety Clinics. Throwing their full support, the officials are dedicated to clamping down on auto theft, a scourge to the community.
Free of charge for Hyundai owners, the clinic is scheduled to commence today, January 26 at the Antelope Valley Fair & Event Center and will run through Sunday, January 28. Technicians will be on hand to install state-of-the-art anti-theft software, with the hope of placing a wrench in the cogs of the flourishing underground market for stolen cars.
A Facebook post detailing the event emphasizes its accessibility, stating Hyundai has made certain that Spanish-speaking representatives will be on board to cater to the local Spanish-speaking population. With services offered from 8 am to 5 pm on the opening days and extended hours on Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm, the organizers are preparing to meet the needs of a diverse clientele.
The local community is encouraged to seize this chance to fortify their Hyundai vehicles against theft, enhance personal security, and take a stand against criminal activities that can affect everyone. The invite extends to all at the Antelope Valley Fair & Event Center, located at 2551 W Avenue H, Lancaster. Additional details can be found on the event's Facebook page.
