It's last call for chugging along on Knott's Berry Farm's Huff and Puff ride this weekend. The beloved attraction in Camp Snoopy is closing down ahead of a big renovation project. Park-goers have until Sunday, January 7 to take their final ride and snag a commemorative "Huff and Puff Last Ride" merit badge, a limited-edition collectible, as reported by KTLA.
But that's not all, folks – this is only the beginning of a thrilling facelift for the kiddie area. The theme park has its eyes set on a Memorial Day weekend unveiling of a reimagined Camp Snoopy. Complete with new rides like Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster and Sally’s Swing Along, according to a news release from the theme park. The renovation is the first for Camp Snoopy in ten years, and the theme park promises it's going to be a big deal.
KTLA says the park's announcement last December included closures of other attractions to make way for the update, but with the bittersweet goodbyes come the anticipation of fresh thrills. A redesigned Camp Snoopy aims to evoke the California High Sierras and will offer guests new rides and experiences when it opens this summer.
"Our newly reimagined Camp Snoopy will allow parents and kids to ride and play together and be truly immersed in a summer camp experience right alongside the entire PEANUTS gang," Jon Storbeck, vice president and general manager, told Knott's Berry Farm's media center. Besides new adrenaline-boosting rides, Knott’s Berry Farm's rehaul includes new dining options, camp stores, plus, more seating to soak in the ambiance.
The park's seasonal festivities aren't slowing down either, with the PEANUTS Celebration, Boysenberry Festival, and the water-soaked fun at Soak City on the docket. And for those unafraid of a little spook, Knott's Scary Farm will be back for its infamous Halloween run. Guests can wrap up the year with holiday cheer at Knott’s Merry Farm, as per the media center's buzz on upcoming events.
As Knott's Berry Farm gears up for a year chock-full of events, they're also rolling out the red carpet at the Knott's Hotel, scheduled for an early 2024 refresh. It seems visitors have plenty to look forward to – rides, shows, and a good night's sleep, all under the watchful eye of Snoopy and the gang.
