Korean BBQ & Hot Pot Chain K Pot Set to Open New Locations in Austin and Kansas CitySource: KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot

Austin and Kansas City food enthusiasts are set to get their taste buds tantalized as K Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot chain announces the opening of new all-you-can-eat locations in both cities. The first of two Austin joints is eagerly queueing up to open its doors on January 15 at 5200 Brodie Lane in Sunset Valley, with its hours slated from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and extending to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, as per Eater Austin. The locale for the second Austin location, though not yet opened, is already picked out at 10000 Research Boulevard in the bustling Arboretum neighborhood.

While K Pot brings to Austin the Korean culinary tradition of grilling a variety of meats and veggies at the table, Kansas City isn't about to be left in the dust. KPOT's first foray into the Kansas City dining scene is set to shake things up in summer 2024, taking up about 7,400 square feet in a new retail space that's part of the Metro North Crossing development. This move is designed to fill a void in the local dining scene and further propel the fledgling development, with developer Dan Horn quoted by the Kansas City Business Journal as saying, "KPOT absolutely fits that void."

The K Pot experience is not just about satiating your hunger but also partaking in the cooking process, offering a smorgasbord of choices from spicy beef bulgogi, various cuts of beef and pork, to seafood and a rainbow of vegetables. Foodies in Austin can look forward to grilling their selections on table grills while Kansas City's future location promises a nightlife-like atmosphere complemented by a full bar, as per earlier reports.

In addition to the sizzle of the grill, K Pot diners can also dive into the simmering hot pots with choices of broths like Thai tom yum and Japanese miso. With an array of meats, veggies, and noodles ready to be dunked and cooked in flavorful broths, K Pot aims to truly spoil for choice. Meanwhile, over at Metro North Crossing, KPOT is gearing up to become a cornerstone in the 93-acre redevelopment's burgeoning culinary scene, which also includes a mix of other dining options set to open, as well as existing tenants such HOTWORX and Bloom Nails & Spa. "Our area of the Northland needs new and exciting dining options," Horn said.

K Pot's presence is already felt across the country, with several locations in Houston and a recent opening in San Antonio in October 2023. Plans for further expansion include Fort Worth and Arlington, signaling a clear appetite for the brand's mix of savory meats, fresh sides, bubbling broths, and an interactive dining experience that brings people together over the communal joy of cooking and feasting.
