Community Impact shares that the new sister establishment, charmingly dubbed Lala's South Pole, is set to sling drinks this spring complete with a full-service kitchen, and a large patio for those dreaming of a not-so-white Christmas. In the spirit of its original haunt, Lala's South Pole will deck the halls with its signature year-round Christmas decorations and festive drinks menu.
Founded back in 1972, Lala's has built a reputation for its distinctive kitschy charm and Christmas theme that defies the calendar's constraints. It's an icon run by the hospitality group FBR Management, which has sprinkled its magic on several other Austin favorites like Lavaca Street Bar and Mean Eyed Cat.
