A recent announcement by the district has called upon parents to urgently share any concerns they might hold over current walking paths that students use on their daily journey to school, stressing the significance of community feedback in this annual safety evaluation. The district is set to closely analyze online survey results to decide which bus services are necessary for students trekking to schools within this two-mile cut-off. According to the district's website, children residing less than two miles from their campus typically do not qualify for transportation services, unless their walking route is considered unsafe. In an approach to transparently navigate through this process, parents can submit their concerns until Jan. 21—a step that will help to ultimately shape the district's hazardous route assessments.
