Chaos unfolded at a high school in Livermore when an adult male trespassed on Granada High School grounds Thursday, causing police to quickly intervene. According to Livermore PD, at just after noon yesterday, a call came in reporting the suspect near the football field. An officer assigned to the school gave chase as the individual fled the scene.

The suspect, later identified as George Michael Tomlin, a 39-year-old resident of Livermore, was apprehended in a creek area behind the school, a swift action by Livermore Police that potentially veered into a larger crisis. Along with being on the registered sex offender list, Tomlin was found with drugs and drug paraphernalia and is alleged to have committed a lewd act and exposed himself indecently to a female student on campus; luckily it appears he did not make physical contact with any of the students.

Tomlin has been detained without resistance and is currently in Santa Rita Jail, facing various charges. The allegations against him include unlawful entry onto school grounds by a registered sex offender, indecent exposure, and drug possession.
