A man has been nabbed for allegedly robbing a Georgia convenience store on Christmas Eve, law enforcement officials said. Jarrid Diontae Carter, 38, is accused of forcefully entering the Golden Pantry in Homer by kicking through the glass door and making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The incident, which left a local business violated on a night when peace and good cheer are traditionally observed, was initially reported by Atlanta News First. According to their coverage, the Banks County Sheriff's Office apprehended Carter on January 4 following the breakthrough in the case. The arrest was the culmination of a "thorough investigatory effort" into the brazen burglary.
Digging deeper into the details, Now Habersham reported that Banks County Sheriff Carlton Speed stated, "Due to pertinent evidence left at the scene and discovered through the investigation, Carter was successfully identified and arrested."
