According to FOX 10 Phoenix, police were dispatched around 3 a.m. to the fast-food location at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Southern Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers discovered multiple individuals in the drive-through area and a male lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts to save the victim, who has yet to be identified, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to an area hospital. "Preliminary information is that two groups of people were involved in a verbal altercation while in the drive-through that escalated to the shooting. Detectives have several witnesses to interview about this incident," Mesa Police stated, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. A manhunt is still ongoing as no arrests have been made thus far.
