
A man's life was cut short in Woodlawn after a cold-blooded shooter fired multiple bullets at him while he was simply strolling on the sidewalk. According to FOX 32 Chicago, the shooting occurred just before 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of E. 67th Street. Walking as another individual unleashed a barrage of shots, the 38-year-old victim was struck multiple times and rushed to the University of Chicago Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Details provided by the Chicago Sun-Times outline that the hapless victim was attacked around 5:52 p.m. Despite the immediacy of emergency services, the individual was pronounced dead after they arrived at the medical center.
The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed as of yet, with authorities working diligently to inform the next of kin.
