Manhattan Beach is about to get classical as the local Art Center is gearing up for a throwback with their latest showcase, "Return to Form," which casts the spotlight on traditional classicism with a modern twist.

Running from January 19th up through the spring breezes of March 31, 2024, this exhibit at the Manhattan Beach Art Center (MBAC) is all about bringing the good old days of art back into the 21st century. It features the works of Nora Ann-Francis Martin-Hall, Edgar Silva, Lucy Cui, and Brittany Ryan who are taking the historical weight of classicism and tossing it up in the air with their contemporary styles, according to a bulletin released by CAMANHATTANBEACH.

Classicism is the kind of stuff that has held up Western culture for eons—it's serious, it's sculpted, and it's stood the test of time. There's even a swanky opening reception on Friday, January 19 but the MBAC will take a brief timeout and close its doors from 10:00 AM to that 5:00 PM shindig—regular hours commence the day after.
