The lab, operated by a Massachusetts man, was raided by authorities who discovered a trove of drugs, including counterfeit Adderall and Xanax pills laced with fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Specifics of the bust detail the arrest of 39-year-old Andrew Billings of Plymouth, after a months-long investigation led to search warrants for his Whitman property and SUV. According to a statement obtained by the Massachusetts State Police News, on December 21, 2023, troopers entered his Essex Street drug den to find an overwhelming assortment of narcotics and drug-making apparatus.
The search unearthed a ghastly scene – white powder scattered about and an abundance of counterfeit pills – leading to the immediate evacuation of the contaminated premises. The property eventually faced condemnation by Whitman town officials. Billings was subsequently nabbed at his Plymouth workplace and taken into custody, charged with several drug-related offenses.
Inside the SUV, law enforcement came across hundreds of blue oxycodone pills weighing in at 145 grams. At the Whitman property, authorities confiscated a significant amount of deadly drugs: 6 pounds of presumed fentanyl and 27 pounds of presumed methamphetamine.
