Police are on the hunt for a suspect involved in a New Year's Eve assault at a local Wegmans. According to the Medford Police Department, a black male clad in dark clothing and a green camouflage ski mask reportedly attacked a customer following an argument with a woman. The incident, which occurred shortly before noon on December 31, 2023, also involved a second woman who is believed to be an associate of the suspect.
Medford Police have issued a call for assistance to identify the individuals concerned. Donning dark-colored clothes, the suspect's identity remains largely obscured by the ski mask he wore during the assault. The confrontation took place at approximately 11:35 a.m.
Authorities have yet to comment on what sparked the argument or the nature of the altercation between the victim and the female party. Detectives looking into the incident are asking for the public’s help. Those with any information about the identities of the suspect or his female associate are urged to come forward.
