A burglary blitz has struck the quiet streets of Miami Shores, with a male suspect accused of hitting two homes in rapid succession, Miami Shores Police are on the hunt for the alleged burglar, believed to be about 40, he embarked on his thieving spree on Northeast 105th Street and 107th Avenue, as reported by WSVN.

Cameras caught the suspect in broad daylight as he scouted properties, he dismantled a window screen and attempted to muscle a door open with his body weight, but when the bold break-in attempt met with failure, he switched tactics, grabbing a shovel to pry the door, "At some point, he retrieved a shovel and started working the door with a shovel," Commander Kerry Turner revealed to WSVN.

Ditching the first home after unsuccessful entry, the burglar changed his luck at the second residence – managing to haul out bags of stolen goods, turning heads, and raising alarms in the otherwise peaceful community.

Sharing a captured image of the suspect minus his Adidas hoodie, which revealed his face, police have cast a net for leads and encourage public involvement, "So we're asking for the public to take a really hard look at this video, let’s get this guy in custody before he burglarizes another home in this community," Commander Turner told WPLG Local 10 in a separate interview. The police are motivated to collar the suspect swiftly, hoping to prevent a repeat of the day's audacity.

Authorities implore anyone with insights to step forward, confiding intel to Miami Shores Police at 305-759-2468 or to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS, where tipsters can remain unnamed and might qualify for a reward topping out at $5,000.
