The Milford Police Department is calling on the public to assist in the hunt for two armed suspects who robbed Aroma Brazil, a local butcher shop, police said. The heist took place on Tuesday, January 9, when the store at 2 Beach St. was hit at around 9:00pm by gunmen clad in masks and hoods.
Authorities reported to the scene after the employees raised the alarm about the robbery. The suspects, brandishing handguns, made off with a hefty sum of cash, the Milford Police detailed. After the raid, the duo was seen bolting from the scene on foot before hopping into a getaway car, a grey Dodge Durango, believed to be a model from between 2011 and 2013, as per the Milford Police Department's Facebook post.
The Milford detectives are not just trailing the suspects themselves, but also the presumed wheelman of the aged Durango. The police, while sifting through the facts of this brazen crime, have made clear their need for community aid to pinpoint and apprehend these suspects, who remain at large.
In their appeal for tips, the Milford Police have stressed confidentiality and provided contact avenues for the public to come forward with any potentially valuable information. Anyone with details that may lead to the arrest of the individuals involved in this robbery is encouraged to contact the confidential tip line at 508-473-3800, or email [email protected], according to the Facebook announcement.
