It's not just football fans getting a new addition to their team this season. The Budweiser Clydesdales, known for their iconic Super Bowl commercials, have welcomed a fresh set of hooves to their lineup. Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville, Missouri announced yesterday the birth of a new colt, poised to join the more than 70 other Clydesdales at the 300-plus-acre breeding and training facility. While the colt's name wasn't disclosed, its arrival is stirring up excitement, KENS 5 reported.
Born into a legacy that began in 1933, following the repeal of Prohibition, these gentle giants have since become synonymous with the Budweiser brand. According to a statement obtained by KENS 5, herd supervisor at the ranch, Amy Trout, hinted at the colt's potential. "You never know what lies ahead for these gentle giants," she said. "The foals are so much fun to see up close, and you never know – he might just end up on a Budweiser commercial in the future."
This year's Super Bowl will also feature some of the more seasoned Clydesdales in an ad that pays homage to the brewery's long-standing tradition. The eagerness for fans to catch a glimpse of the iconic horses was intensified by a teaser trailer released last Thursday, showcasing the Clydesdales trotting through a picturesque snowy scene. As the nation tunes in to the big game, the Clydesdales will no doubt be sharing the spotlight, MSN suggests.
While the Clydesdales are often front and center in Budweiser's marketing, it's the behind-the-scenes action at Warm Springs Ranch that ensures the tradition continues. Open to the public for tours, visitors often get to witness the magic of the breeding program and maybe even meet future stars before they hit the screen. "The foals are so much fun to see up close," Trout told KENS 5, capturing the delight and anticipation surrounding the newest member's arrival at the ranch. Even though the spotlight is on the Super Bowl now, all eyes will soon be on this young colt as it takes its first steps into stardom.
