Officials from Williamson County and Liberty Hill ISD sliced through a ceremonial ribbon yesterday, marking the opening of the CR 258 extension—a crucial addition for local commuters. Carved out by Joe Bland Construction and masterminded by design engineers from American Structurepoint, this two-lane thoroughfare extends from US 183 to Sunset Ridge Drive, ushering in improved connectivity to the Ronald Reagan corridor and the future home of Liberty Hill ISD's Legacy Ranch schools.
Sporting a price tag of $5.8 million, the bill for the roadwork was footed by bonds greenlit by voters, coupled with a contribution of $670,000 from the ISD for dedicated turn lanes serving the proposed high school. Developer Bruce Nakfoor chipped in as well, donating two acres of land, through which the road will now trace its path. The roadway is expected to enhance travel efficiency between major highways and bolster access to educational facilities in the Liberty Hill area.
