The new Nordstrom Rack is also for the local economy, with a company spokesperson expressing excitement about expanding their physical footprint and economic impact in Texas, as reported by the Houston Chronicle. Meyerland Plaza has been a beehive of activity, as it continues to fill up with big names since the pandemic. Alongside Nordstrom Rack, recent additions include a Dick's Sporting Goods and a Joann fabric and craft store, which have taken their places in the iconic shopping center.
Meyerland Plaza's appeal to consumers and retailers alike is undeniable. With 23 locations throughout Texas, Nordstrom Rack's new outlet will join the existing store in the Galleria area at Centre at Post Oak, according to details shared by Community Impact. The new Nordstrom Rack will also cater to the digital consumer. The real estate firm that handles Meyerland Plaza, Fidelis, had put the shopping center up for sale last August, but has been tight-lipped about the status of the listing.
