Drivers in Frisco, brace for detours, as Eldorado Parkway gets a nighttime shutdown at the Dallas Parkway intersection this Thursday, courtesy of the NTTA’s ongoing Tollway widening efforts. The roadblock is scheduled to commence at 8 p.m. tonight and is set to ease up by the early morning bell of 5 a.m. Friday, the weather playing nice, according to the City of Frisco.
Pardon the hassle, but the east and westbound lanes of Eldorado Parkway beneath the Tollway's bridge are off-limits during this bout. Though Dallas Parkway's through traffic gets a green light, all lefts and u-turns at the intersection, they're not happening. Detour routes and signs, they'll be your guide. Expect to turn right onto Southbound Dallas Parkway if you're heading east on Eldorado, or flip a u-turn at Main Street to keep eastward.
The city is pushing for drivers to keep their heads up and wheels cautiously rolling through the work zones. For the tech-savvy navigator, Waze remains the trusty sidekick for dodging closures.
