A collision at a Middleville Township crossroads left one driver needing emergency extrication and saw another slapped with a careless driving citation. According to official reports, Wright County deputies, alongside Howard Lake Police Department officers, raced to the scene where two vehicles had crashed at the County Road 35 W and County Road 7 SW intersection.
Operating a semi-tractor pulling a grain trailer, and barreling towards the junction, Isadore Mallak, aged 40, failed to observe the stop signage and collided forcefully with an approaching Cadillac according to Wright County officials.
The other half of the disastrous duo, a 2013 Cadillac CTS, was piloted by Christopher Gallagher, a 40-year-old denizen of Cokato. In the aftermath, the Howard Lake Fire Department had to free Gallagher from his warped cocoon of metal and transported thereafter to HCMC. Mallak, by some stroke of fortune, escaped the incident unscathed in the body.
The driver of the semi-tractor, Isadore Mallak was cited at the scene for careless driving, as per Wright County's official press release.
