A twin-engine Cessna, which investigators say departed from a Wise County airport, crashed near the intersection of Lone Star Road and BJ Lane, in the vicinity of Poolville, away from the road, resulting in the deaths of Dr. Heath Smith, vice president of the Paradise school board, and his offspring, according to CBS News Texas.
The Parker County Sheriff's Office, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety, and emergency teams locally, were dispatched to the scene shortly after the crash was reported post 1 p.m. "Our hearts are devastated for the Smith family," expressed Will Brewer, the superintendent of Paradise ISD.
