Phoenix residents can expect a significant dip in temperatures by the end of the week, following several days of warm and sunny conditions, forecasters say. According to the National Weather Service, the city will enjoy highs in the mid-to-upper 70s with calm eastern winds, before a cooldown sets in, bringing potential showers by Thursday night and a more pronounced chill on Friday.
The week kicks off with a mostly sunny Monday and a high hovering near 77 before temperatures take a nosedive later in the week, with Thursday night forecasted to bring showers and a low around 52 degrees the expectant calm of the wind giving way to change as the city braces for a wetter chill. While skies will clear up Saturday, providing a mostly sunny day with a high near 57, people should keep their umbrellas at the ready as intermittent showers might punctuate the evening, with lows dipping into the mid-40s, the FOX 10 Phoenix weather report indicates.
After the warm & dry weather through mid week, we are expecting a weather system to bring widespread precipitation to the region later Thursday into Friday. It also seems likely there will be one or two other systems during the following week. #azwx #cawx pic.twitter.com/Fhtp5zZsdK

The sunny streak is set to continue through Tuesday and Wednesday, affording Phoenicians congenial weather with the thermometer pushing slightly upwards of 77 degrees before the gradual descent in temperature begins.
As Thursday arrives, residents should prepare for the changeover—the warm sun partly shaded by clouds with the high dropping slightly to near 74, the eventual arrival of showers later at night marks the beginning of this transition, commencing a period of cooler weather that will see the high plummet to near 61 degrees on Friday, according to the forecast provided by the National Weather Service. This chilly trend will persist into the weekend, with highs barely scratching the high 50s before seeing a mild recovery on Sunday to approximately 62 degrees according to FOX 10 Phoenix report.
