A Phoenix man is behind bars after being accused of a disturbing sex assault in Chandler.
Police allege that Dexter Deshon Leroy Greyer, 26, carried out the attack on Jan. 5 in the vicinity of Dobson and Warner Roads. Arrested at his home on Jan. 17, police have charged Greyer with a series of serious offenses, which, according to a Fox10 Phoenix report, include sexual assault, kidnapping, sexual abuse, and criminal damage.
The investigation by Chandler Police unfolded swiftly after an adult female victim reported the sexual assault that morning. Describing the suspect and his vehicle to the officers and Special Victims Unit detectives led to the quick identification of Greyer, as detailed by Chandler Police in a social media post cited by AZFamily.
Aside from these charges, Greyer was also wanted on multiple unrelated warrants. In connection with his arrest, authorities have pointed out, that there appears to be no evidence suggesting a prior acquaintance between Greyer and the victim.
