A new beer bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Lovecraft, the newcomer is located at 3128 E. Cactus Road in Paradise Valley.

With 31 craft beers, ciders and wine rotating on tap, this ale house also integrates New Mexican cuisine with Texas-style smoked meats. The bar features a diverse selection of beverages — like the Phantom Bride, an IPA from Oceanside, Calif., and the Papago Orange Blossom, a fruit beer from Tempe. And the kitchen serves up a variety of small plates, like its chicken street tacos and its marinated mushroom enchiladas, to compliment its extensive drink menu.

Lovecraft has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp.

Millie S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 27, wrote, "The beer selection is excellent! So many taps to choose from, not to mention what they have canned in the cooler. So excited to be able to walk into a clean, warm and inviting place in this great neighborhood."

And Christine F. added, "Extensive beer selection. Loved that you could get 5-, 10-, or 12-ounce pours, so [I] was able to try several beers. Can't wait to go back, play some of the board games and try more of the food items. Everyone was super friendly and helpful."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Lovecraft is open from 3–11 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and 3 p.m.–1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Monday.)
